Ascanium Central’s business centres will aim to host companies seeking sophisticated work spaces and collaborative co-working facilities, all designed to nurture and support businesses of all sizes.

Ascanium signs agreement to acquire buildings in Vierzon from Centre Hospitalier George Sand

Ascanium has signed a preliminary agreement to acquire buildings in the historic centre of Vierzon from the Centre Hospitalier George Sand (CHGS), a private psychiatric hospital group based in Bourges, France.

These acquisitions, which remain subject to a few formalities following a period of due diligence, would represent Ascanium’s first property acquisitions with significant potential synergies and excellent opportunities for collaboration and growth.

Strategic Locations

The buildings would allow Ascanium to start its portfolio with assets centrally located in France: the historic town of Vierzon is geographically located in the centre of France, at the crossroads of 3 major motorways and at the crossroads of the rail lines of the North-South and East-West arteries serving the 7 ports of France.

City of water, at the crossroads of five rivers including Yèvre and Cher, crossed by the Berry Canal, Vierzon is located on the border between Sologne and Berry.

The city also benefits from large investments into the Web 3.0 space, with the manufacturing facilities for Ledger and a new digital campus offering university courses designed to support the needs of the Web 3.0 development. The digital campus, named “B3 Village by CA”, also offers a limited number of spaces for promising French start-ups in their incubator hub.

A determining factor has been that particularly intensive public spending has resulted in real improvements in urban renovation of historic parts of the city and very promising economic development with the expansion and upgrading of the major rail crossing at the Vierzon station.
